Quick verdict
Should you watch?
Denser and slower than season 1, and still smarter than almost anything else.
✓Fans of season 1, viewers who enjoy institutional politics and patient, dialogue-driven mysteries
✗You want a single gripping murder case; the first half is mostly committee meetings
Story
What is it really about
Two years later the partners are on opposite sides of a turf war over who gets to investigate whom. The case is almost beside the point: the season is about what honest people do inside institutions fighting for their own survival.
