Two names already known
2020 — 2023
Riize did not start from zero. SM Entertainment had introduced Shotaro and Sungchan into NCT in 2020, and in 2023 moved both into a new group built around them — so the act arrived with an existing fanbase, a rare running start for a rookie launch.
DEBUT
Get a Guitar
2023
The group debuted on September 4, 2023 with the single album "Get a Guitar", under a name blending "rise" and "realize" — a team that grows together and realises what it set out to do. The sound was pitched as "emotional pop": warmer and more melodic than SM's usual rookie launch.

Love 119
2024
"Talk Saxy" and then "Love 119" turned early attention into domestic chart placement, and "Boom Boom Bass" followed in the summer. Inside a year the group had moved from single albums to a steady release cadence.

LINEUP
Six, not seven
2024
Seunghan left the group in October 2024 after a year of intermittent activity, and Riize continued as a six-piece.
