TIMELINE
The journey
ORIGIN
Trainee A and the long build
2021 — 2025
Cortis was assembled slowly and quietly. James trained inside Trainee A, a BigHit pre-debut group that was shelved in 2022, and the label spent the years afterwards putting together a team that could write, produce and direct its own work rather than receive it — an unusual mandate for a rookie act at this scale.
PRE-DEBUT
Go!
2025
The group surfaced a week ahead of schedule with the pre-debut single "Go!" on August 11, 2025, released with a music video that set the crew-video tone the group has kept since.

GreenGreen
2026
The second EP arrived on May 4, 2026, led by "RedRed", which had gone out three weeks earlier and became the group's biggest commercial release to date, pushing cumulative album sales past two million inside a year of debut.
