Nearly one ticket in five for BTS’s two nights at Estadio El Campín was bought outside Colombia — 18.4%, according to Bogotá’s city government, mostly from Ecuador, Mexico and Venezuela. None of those three countries is on the tour.
The BTS Latin America tour 2026 opened with two sold-out nights in Bogotá on October 2 and 3, the first two of 14 shows of BTS WORLD TOUR ‘ARIRANG’ in five cities; the leg closes at São Paulo’s Estádio do MorumBIS on October 31. The day before it opened, Yonhap reported that Billboard’s latest Boxscore had made Arirang the first tour by a pop group to pass $500 million in ticket sales. Not one Latin American ticket is inside that figure.
The BTS Latin America tour 2026 schedule, city by city
Eleven shows became fourteen. When BIGHIT MUSIC set out the leg on March 28, it was 11 shows in five cities, per Yonhap’s report in the Korea Times. On April 8 the group added one show each in Lima, Santiago and Buenos Aires on Weverse, according to Korea.net. The table merges both announcements, with venue names as Live Nation’s official tour site lists them.
| City | Venue | Announced in March | Added April 8 | Shows |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Bogotá, Colombia | Estadio El Campín | Oct 2 (Fri), Oct 3 (Sat) | None | 2 |
| Lima, Peru | Estadio San Marcos | Oct 9 (Fri), Oct 10 (Sat) | Oct 7 (Wed) | 3 |
| Santiago, Chile | Estadio Nacional | Oct 16 (Fri), Oct 17 (Sat) | Oct 14 (Wed) | 3 |
| Buenos Aires (La Plata), Argentina | Estadio Único de La Plata | Oct 23 (Fri), Oct 24 (Sat) | Oct 21 (Wed) | 3 |
| São Paulo, Brazil | Estádio do MorumBIS | Oct 28 (Wed), Oct 30 (Fri), Oct 31 (Sat) | None | 3 |
Every added show is a Wednesday, two days ahead of a Friday–Saturday pair already on sale, and São Paulo had its Wednesday from the start. The additions landed between the ARMY membership presale on April 7 and the general sale on April 10 that Today reported. “Buenos Aires” is the billing; the stadium is in La Plata, where, per Sports Kyunghyang, the city council named BTS honorary guests in July and local estimates put visitors at more than 150,000 for the three shows.
Yonhap’s March report calls these BTS’s first full-group concerts in Colombia, Peru and Argentina. Wikipedia’s tour tables list two nights at Movistar Arena in Santiago and two at Citibank Hall in São Paulo in March 2017, then two at São Paulo’s Allianz Parque in May 2019 — 84,728 tickets and $7,712,318, the only Latin American stop on that tour. Four arena nights, then two stadium nights in one city, now 14 in five.
What the $500 million counts, and what it leaves out
Yonhap’s story, carried by the Korea Times and the Korea Herald, rests on Boxscore figures Billboard released on Wednesday, September 30: Arirang passed $500 million in cumulative ticket sales, the seventh tour by any group to get there. “It puts them in unprecedented territory as a pop group, as the other six ensembles are all rock bands,” Billboard said.
August did the lifting. BTS played 12 concerts that month to about 800,000 fans and $171.7 million — the second-highest monthly total in Boxscore history, behind Beyoncé in August 2023. That is about $14.3 million and 66,700 fans a show. September kept BTS on US stages, from a 15-minute closing set at the iHeartRadio festival in Las Vegas to three VMA trophies.
The reports give no exact cumulative total, no count of the shows inside it and no cut-off date. Billboard’s own projection — around 40 concerts still to come, a possible $1 billion at the end — makes these 14 shows about a third of what is left. To get from more than $500 million to $1 billion, those 40 need less than $500 million between them: at most about $12.5 million a show, against August’s $14.3 million.
What two nights in Bogotá showed
Bogotá made BTS honorary guests by decree on September 30, then published two sets of numbers. Its tourism institute projected more than 53,000 people a night and 99 billion pesos in visitor spending; on October 2 its economic development office projected 126 billion pesos of impact and 5,244 jobs from about 90,000 attendees over both dates.
Nobody official has counted either night. None of the reports cited here carries a count from police, city or promoter. Infobae’s first-night report says more than 45,000 people were there, which fits the city’s October 2 projection. Noticias RCN’s October 4 ranking, from Music Trends Colombia, puts BTS at the top of El Campín’s attendance list on the pre-show 53,000 a night, ahead of Karol G’s 44,286 a night in 2024. At 45,000 BTS would still lead, by 714 — inside the rounding of the city’s 90,000. Either figure leaves each night at two-thirds to four-fifths of an average August show.
Semana’s account of October 2 lists “Hooligan”, “Fake Love”, “Mic Drop” and “Butter”, with “I’m Fine” and “So What” as the two surprise songs, and before 9 p.m. TransMilenio shut its El Campín station for the crowd. J-Hope wondered why they had not come to Colombia sooner; V asked for help with his Spanish — “ayúdame, parce”; Jin signed off with “¡Hágale pues!”
October 3 filled the stadium again, per Infobae, and changed the surprises to “We Are Bulletproof Pt.2” and “Mikrokosmos”, picked by the DJ from the whole catalogue and unrehearsed, Semana says. Both nights, per Semana, the members took out their in-ears to hear the crowd sing the “Arirang” line in “Body to Body”; on the second, flags from Costa Rica, Panama, Ecuador and Venezuela were in the stands. “Esta es la última noche y será la mejor noche,” one vocalist told the crowd.
Mina’s Take
Coverage reads Bogotá as proof of demand, and it is: a decree, two sold-out nights, two city projections in billions of pesos. The number I’d underline is the 18.4%. Fans from Ecuador, Mexico and Venezuela bought into a Colombian stadium, Ecuador’s and Venezuela’s flags were in the stands on night two, and none of the three countries gets a date on this leg. That is demand the routing leaves on the table. Billboard’s $1 billion needs about $12.5 million a show from here; the São Paulo figure in Wikipedia’s 2019 table is $7.7 million for two nights. Seven years and a third night will move that, but I don’t see them tripling it per night. My call: when Billboard reports these 14 shows, they average under $12.5 million each, and the dates after them carry the $1 billion. If the leg clears that bar, I’m wrong.
What to watch next
- Lima, October 7, 9 and 10. October 7 is the first of the added Wednesdays; PromPeru counted more than 521,000 people in ticket queues, the Korea Herald reports.
- La Plata, October 21–24. The October 24 show, like São Paulo’s on October 30, screens live in cinemas through HYBE CINE FEST 2026.
- Billboard’s October Boxscore. The first figures with Latin American tickets in them. If August’s timing repeats, they arrive around the end of November.
