Korean banana milk is a sweet, banana-flavored dairy drink that you can sip chilled or use in iced coffee. Binggrae’s version comes in a rounded bottle, making it easy to recognize on a shop shelf. For a first try, taste the milk on its own before mixing it with coffee so you can adjust how much goes into your glass.

What Is Binggrae Banana Milk?

Binggrae’s product page dates its banana-flavored milk to 1974 and says the bottle was inspired by a Korean moon jar. It is packaged flavored milk; blending a fresh banana with milk makes a different drink.

The manufacturer also lists No Added Sugar and Light banana versions. Read the exact product name when shopping, especially if you want the regular version. Those labels do not tell you everything about the drink’s ingredients or nutrition, so check the package you are buying.

How to Make Iced Banana Milk Coffee

This suggested home version uses banana milk, chilled coffee and ice. Choose the coffee according to what you want to add to the drink:

  • Use an unsweetened Americano or black coffee if you want the banana milk to provide the sweetened component.
  • Use hazelnut-flavored coffee if you want another flavor alongside the banana. Check whether the coffee already contains sugar before adding syrup.

Mix a Small Glass First

  1. Put ice in a glass with enough room to stir.
  2. Pour in chilled coffee, leaving space for the milk.
  3. Add a little banana milk and stir. Taste before adding more.
  4. Add milk gradually until the balance suits you. If you have added too much, stir in more coffee.

Keep extra sweetener out of the first glass. Once you have a balance you like, note the amounts of coffee and milk so you can repeat it. If you use hot brewed coffee, cool it before pouring it over the ice.

For a snack, serve the plain chilled milk with a slice of castella sponge cake.

Choosing a Bottle or Carton

Look for “Binggrae” and “Banana” on the package, then check the variant. A rounded bottle and a carton are useful visual shopping references, but read each label rather than assuming the ingredients or serving size are identical.

Check storage instructions before opening and follow the label afterward, including any refrigeration requirement. For the coffee, a small pack is enough to start: use only what you need and store the rest as directed.
