2016
Mnet put 101 trainees from competing agencies into one show and let viewers vote eleven of them into a group. It was the first time a Korean girl group had been assembled that way in public, and the format it established went on to define the next decade of survival programmes.
DEBUT
Chrysalis
2016
The group debuted on May 4, 2016 with the EP "Chrysalis" and the single "Dream Girls", promoting under YMC Entertainment while every member remained contracted to her own agency.

2016
The October single, written by JYP founder Park Jin-young, gave the full eleven-member lineup its first music-show trophy and became the song the group is still best remembered for.

DISBANDMENT
Downpour
2016 — 2017
YMC confirmed in November 2016 that the project would end on schedule. The farewell single "Downpour", written and co-produced by Seventeen's Woozi, took a final music-show win, and the group disbanded on January 29, 2017 — eleven months after debut.

Ten years later
2021
A fifth-anniversary reunion livestream in May 2021 kept the group in view, and in 2026 all eleven reunited for the tenth anniversary of the debut — nine years after they had stopped promoting together.
